How the NDIS Works?
NDIS is an acronym for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is Australia’s first national scheme legislated in 2013 to directly fund the costs of supporting people with disability. Australian citizens and permanent residents with intellectual, physical, sensory or psycho-social disability can potentially benefit from NDIS. To be eligible, you would have a permanent and significant disability, and be under the age of 65.
All applications for NDIS are processed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)- the organisation that administers NDIS. Approved participants on the NDIS scheme would typically need to have an individualised NDIS plan that can help them access the right support they need to achieve their goals and enjoy their life. For this plan to work smoothly, NDIS rely on providers to work with participants in delivering the support and services they need to achieve their goals. CLAE is one of NDIS providers you can trust.
